NIOMARU Course
These tours provide not only breathtaking views of the beautiful islands in Matsushima Bay, but also glimpses of inhabited islands and scenery that cannot be seen from the mainland.

Matsushima Shima-meguri Island Sightseeing Cruises is confident that you will thoroughly enjoy our NIOMARU Course.
Stretching a total distance of approx. 17 km, the course takes you around Matsushima Bay, visiting not only famous Kanejima and Niojima, but also the bare rock face of Kagetajima towering over. Nio and the island of Funairijima, where relics from the Jomon period have been discovered, as well as passing between the inhabited islands of Katsurashima and Nonoshima, delivering island scenery unique to Matsushima Bay that cannot be seen from the Matsushima Coast.

Courses for groups
A major attraction of this cruise is that the boat is able to sail up close to islands that larger ships cannot approach.
What’s more, because the boat is chartered, you can take large dogs or other pets that cannot be contained in a cage on board with you.
