  • If you already have a ticket, please go directly to Boarding Point No. 1 on the Chuo Kanko Pier.
  • Your boarding point number may change depending on the timeframe, so please ask a nearby staff member if you have difficulty finding your boarding point.

Cruise ticket offices

Cruise ticket offices can be found in four locations around Matsushima-chonai.
Tickets may be purchased from any of these offices, so please use the ticket office closest to you when purchasing pleasure boat tickets.
If you wish to purchase tickets for a small-sized boat, it is convenient to purchase your ticket(s) at either our Matsushima Green Plaza Office or Godaido Office.
(*As a rule, large boats depart from the Chuo Kanko pier.)

  • 1 Matsushima-Kaigan-EkimaeThis ticket office is most convenient for those using the Matsushima-Kaigan Station on the Senseki Line or the free Matsushima Municipal Car Park.
  • 2 Matsushima Green PlazaThis ticket office is most convenient for those using the Matsushima Park No. 5 Car Park.
  • 3 Central OfficeThis is the closest ticket office to the large boat boarding point. Please note that this office can become very crowded during busy time periods.
  • 4 Godaido OfficeThis office is next to a large car park, and so is convenient for those who wish to park their car nearby.
  • If you have booked in advance, please go to your nearest ticket office and tell the staff your name and the time of the cruise you have booked, and show them your booking e-mail.
  • If you have paid for your ticket(s) at your hotel, please go to a ticket office to receive your ticket(s).

Access to Matsushima

For those traveling to Matsushima by train

  • ● Morioka StationTohoku Shinkansen: approx. 1 hour 40 minutes – approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
  • ● Yamagata StationJR Senzan Line: approx. 1 hour
  • ・ Sendai StationSenseki Line: approx. 40 minutesTohoku Main Line: approx. 25 minutes *Kaisoku (Express) trains do not stop.
  • ・ Matsushima-Kaigan StationWalking: approx. 6 minutes
  • ・ Matsushima StationWalking: approx. 20 minutes
  • Matsushima Shima-meguri Island Sightseeing Cruises
  • If the purpose of your visit is sightseeing around Matsushima, we recommend using Matsushima-Kaigan Station as this station is close to sightseeing spots such as Zuigan-ji Temple, Entsu-in Temple, Godaido Hall, and the pleasure boats.
